Dusk is prime-time for admiring the hawking abilities of flycatchers and Cedar Waxwings. The other night I was out looking for an Olive-sided Flycatcher and though I didn’t happen to find one, I still enjoyed watching this Eastern Wood-Pewee hunt from its favored perch. Occasionally, I could hear its bill rapidly *snap* as it attempted to catch a panicked, weaving insect.
