Sunday, April 8: An outing endeavouring to see large numbers of migrant geese. This is often the time of year when skein after skein fills the sky above. We will search for Greater Snow Geese, Ross’s Geese, Canada Geese, Cackling Geese, and Greater White-fronted Geese. Specifics will be posted closer to the date of the tour; stay tuned!
Outing notes: Here are some ideas of what to pack and what to wear during this field outing. Waterproof footwear is recommended, and rain jacket/rain pants are also good items to have on-hand during spring birding outings. Please pack some snacks, plenty of water, lens cloth, lip balm, sunscreen, and favoured field guides.
Lunch & Dinner: TBD closer to the tour date (once I choose the route).
Activity Scale: This trip sits at a 1/5. We will be birding almost exclusively by vehicle this morning.
Meet at 8:30 AM at TBD
Method of payment: Cash, e-Transfer or cheque the morning of the tour. If paying by e-Transfer, please use firstname.lastname@example.org as the recipient address; if paying by cheque, please make the cheque out to ‘Eastern Ontario Birding.’
