Britannia Conservation Area

Sunday, April 29: A morning outing at Britannia C.A./Mud Lake in search of a wide array of spring migrants. Warblers, sparrows, Blue-headed Vireo, Brown Thrasher, Eastern Phoebe, kinglets and others will be seen. We may finish our tour at Andrew Haydon Park, scoping the river for waterbirds, such as Red-throated Loon and scoters.

Outing notes: Here are some ideas of what to pack and what to wear during this field outing. Waterproof footwear is recommended, and rain jacket/rain pants are also good items to have on-hand during spring birding outings. Please pack some snacks, plenty of water, lens cloth, lip balm, sunscreen, and favoured field guides.

Activity Scale: This outing is rated at a 2/5. We will be birding by foot for the morning, but covering a small amount of ground at a slow pace.

Meet at 8:30 AM at the N/S trailhead along Cassels.
