Pine Grove Forest

Thursday, May 24: A morning spent birding this wonderful little trail just outside of the city. Two highly sought-after warblers breed here in good numbers: Mourning Warbler and Canada Warbler. Magnolia Warbler also breeds here. All sorts of other migrants are possible today, including Yellow-bellied Flycatcher and Olive-sided Flycatcher.

Outing notes: Here are some ideas of what to pack and what to wear during this field outing. Sturdy, waterproof footwear is recommended.
