Dusk birding in Ottawa

Tuesday, June 4: Come out and enjoy some early-summer dusk birding in the National Capital Region! We will be birding in the Dunrobin/Greenland area. We will endeavour to see and hear Common Nighthawk, Eastern Whip-poor-will, Least Bittern, American Bittern, Wilson’s Snipe, American Woodcock, Alder Flycatcher, Black-billed Cuckoo, possibly Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Hermit Thrush, Veery, Eastern Towhee and more!

Outing notes: Dress light and seasonal, and consider wearing quick-dry clothing, as well. Please consider packing rubber boots and rainwear, extra socks, insect repellent, mosquito head net/jacket, plenty of water, electrolyte mix (I will supply this, as well), coffee/tea, nutritious snacks, and sunscreen. It’s also a good idea to check the weather forecast for the region in which we will be birding to help you decide on what to wear for the trip!
