Shirleys Bay & Moodie Quarry Pond

Excellent fall birding in Ottawa today! We began our day at Shirleys Bay, where we observed a nice assortment of ducks, along with a continuing Red-bellied Woodpecker and an American Coot. As per my client’s (awesome) request, we then moved along to Moodie Ponds, where we observed a superb collection of gulls along with thousands of geese. We observed 6-7 Red-tailed Hawks in the Moodie Pond area, as well. Checklists below…
