“Spring” birding in Ottawa

Wednesday, March 27: Today, we will bird various sites in the west end of Ottawa in search of lingering winter birds and freshly-arrived spring migrants. Although winter’s cold embrace is still being felt, there has been consistent air mass hailing from the south, and migrants are pouring into the National Capital Region, albeit, in fits and spurts!

Outing notes: Dress in seasonal and comfortable clothing, and consider wearing layers, as well. Please consider packing winter and/or rubber boots, windbreaker, rainwear, hand & foot warmers, extra socks, coffee/tea, snacks, water, and sunscreen. It’s also a good idea to check the weather forecast for the region in which we will be birding to help you decide on what to wear for the trip!
