Britannia C.A. & Shirleys Bay

Thursday, April 18: This morning, we will bird Britannia Conservation Area/Mud Lake in search of spring arrivals and lingering winter birds. We will scan the Ottawa River for ducks, as well. After a few hours at Britannia, we’ll head to the Shirleys Bay area, where we will continue birding until approximately 1:00 PM 🙂

Outing notes: Dress in seasonal and comfortable clothing, and consider wearing layers, as well. Please consider packing rubber boots (preferably an insulated pair), windbreaker, rainwear, extra socks, coffee/tea, snacks, water, and sunscreen. It’s also a good idea to check the weather forecast for the region in which we will be birding to help you decide on what to wear for the trip!
