Thursday, February 6: Today we are looking for interesting and uncommon winter residents and visitors throughout Renfrew County! Birders will be introduced to an excellent selection of traditional and new birding sites. We will take whatever the day brings us, but, we will certainly hope to encounter wintertime highlights such as boreal finches, Golden Eagle, Northern Goshawk, Snowy Owl, Iceland and Glaucous Gulls and even Northern Hawk Owl and Great Gray Owl.
Outing notes: Please be sure to check the weather forecast for Cobden, Ontario several days out from the trip to help in your decision about what clothing to wear. Please be sure to pack gloves and a toque, snacks, hand and foot warmers, a warm beverage of your choice, some liquids, sunscreen, and please wear winter boots.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner: Please eat your breakfast before the tour and pack snacks and drinks. I am happy to arrange a sit-down lunch, post-tour, if there is interest!
