Tundra Bird Safari

Thursday, February 13: Today we are looking for interesting and uncommon winter residents and visitors to our area, hailing from the Tundra. Our targets include Snow Buntings, Horned Larks, Lapland Longspurs, Snowy Owls, Glaucous Gulls, Iceland Gulls, Rough-legged Hawks and more! As a bonus, we will be visiting a reliable Northern Hawk Owl winter territory, as well!

Outing notes: Please be sure to check the weather forecast for Casselman, Ontario several days out from the trip to help in your decision about what clothing to wear. Please be sure to pack gloves and a toque, snacks, hand and foot warmers, a warm beverage of your choice, some liquids, sunscreen, and please wear winter boots.

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner: Please eat your breakfast before the tour and pack snacks and drinks.

Meet at the McDonald’s in Casselman at 10:00 AM.

Carpooling: Carpooling in the lead vehicle is available upon request.

Method of Payment: Cash, e-Transfer or cheque the morning of the tour. If paying by e-Transfer, please use eontbird@gmail.com as the recipient address; if paying by cheque, you can make it out to Eastern Ontario Birding.
