- Jane Ellis: The eBird tutorial was very useful & helpful on how to navigate both the website & mobile app. Jon’s very clear, straightforward information was easy to follow – just as the information he provides in the field when observing birds. Jon has a knack of giving just the right amount of information without overwhelming you – and providing additional information if asked. With Jon, no question is left unanswered & all are taken seriously. In addition, the warm hospitality from Jon & his lovely wife along with the wide array of snacks & drinks, made the evening most enjoyable!
- Joan Travers: Jon’s tutorial on eBird highlighting the features and how to submit checklists was extremely informative revealing the depth of this wonderful birding tool. A well-paced presentation with clear answers to the many questions made for a successful learning event. After dinner goodies (including home-baked) and beverages coupled with a fun group made for a great evening. Thank you, Jon and Samar!!
Margaret Kenny: What I really appreciated about this tutorial is that Jon took a very well organized and comprehensive walk through the features of both the e-bird website and the mobile app. And of course, he answered all of our basic, convoluted and even complex questions with his characteristic patience and with answers from which we all benefitted. Thank you, Jon and Samar, for opening your home to us and making it such a lovely evening!
- Susan Phillips: Good food, good company and a great chance to learn about eBird. Jon showed us how to navigate the myriad of tools and avenues that eBird provides. He made it look easy.
