Winter birds in Ottawa

Thursday, March 5: Today we are looking for interesting and uncommon winter residents and visitors to our area here in the National Capital Region. Our targets include: boreal finches, Golden Eagle, Northern Goshawk, Snowy Owl and small roosting owls!

Outing notes: Please be sure to check the weather forecast for Kinburn, Ontario several days out from the trip to help in your decision about what clothing to wear. Please be sure to pack gloves and a toque, snacks, hand and foot warmers, a warm beverage of your choice, some liquids, sunscreen, and please wear winter boots.

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner: Please eat your breakfast before the tour and pack snacks and drinks.

Meet at the Eagleson Park and Ride at 8:00 AM.

Carpooling: Carpooling in the lead vehicle is available upon request.

Method of Payment: Cash, e-Transfer or cheque the morning of the tour. If paying by e-Transfer, please use as the recipient address; if paying by cheque, you can make it out to Eastern Ontario Birding.

Cost: $40.00 per person (HST-included). $45.00 per person for those carpooling to-and-from Ottawa in the lead vehicle for the trip.
