Lichenology Extension Tour at Westmeath Provincial Park

Sunday, April 14: After the morning tour in Renfrew County, we will head to Westmeath Provincial Park and search for a wide variety of lichen species on trees, stumps and logs in the park. Clients will be introduced to lichen species/varieties, identification techniques, and the importance of habitat in searching for lichens.

I recommend bringing liquids and snacks with you, in a backpack, during the walk. Please wear long pants/long sleeved shirt/jacket. During spring tours it’s a good idea to pack rubber boots and extra socks (in case your feet get damp/wet).
