Target Birds of Eastern Ontario Trip Report

Saturday, June 16th

7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The EOB group ended the spring season with a fireworks show, I must say. Everything fell into place so nicely; it was the perfect send-off. Aside from Pelee, these Target Birds trips are my personal favourite (and I hope clients are enjoying them as much as I am!) Birds were out in the open and doing there thing, especially our targets. By mid-June, this is sometimes the case, as adults are busy delivering food or finishing nest construction, and so on. We had sublime views of Golden-winged Warbler, “Brewster’s” Warbler, Cerulean Warbler, Yellow-throated Vireo, Indigo Bunting, Black Tern, Least Bittern…the list goes on. Never ones to focus solely on the “good” birds, it should also be noted that we lovingly observed all sorts of “normies,” as well. A shout out to all members of the group for their excellent spotting today. What a fun day!
