{"id":2977,"date":"2016-07-12T01:22:30","date_gmt":"2016-07-12T01:22:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eontbird.ca\/?p=2977"},"modified":"2016-07-12T01:30:00","modified_gmt":"2016-07-12T01:30:00","slug":"a-note-on-swamp-from-song-sparrow-juveniles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eontbird.ca\/?p=2977","title":{"rendered":"An ID note on Swamp and Song Sparrow juveniles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Juvenile Swamp Sparrows are distinguished from juvenile Song Sparrows by examining a combination of features.<!--more--> <strong>Head<\/strong>: narrow, dark bill lacking the swollen build of the bill typical of Song Sparrow (1); thin, <em>blackish<\/em> post (past) ocular (eye) stripe with flared, wedge-shaped posterior (2); creamy sub-moustachial (3) bordered by crisp moustachial (4) and weak malar stripe (5).
