May 8 and May 9, 2015 – Macnamara Field Naturalists

“I spy, with my little eye, many things that fly!”

Start & End Time: N/A

Outing Location: Prince Edward County (Friday) and Presqu’ile Provincial Park (Saturday)

Overview, Topics, & Targets: I am leading a spring birding event for the Macnamara Field-Naturalists’ Club (MFNC). Both Prince Edward Point and Presqu’ile are prime spring migration sites in Eastern Ontario. We should certainly observe a large variety of landbird and waterbird migrants at both sites. In 2013, the first bird of the day at Prince Edward Point was a singing Blue-winged Warbler at eye level! I’m not sure that can be topped, but, who knows?  In 2013, our weekend species total for the two sites was 127 species.
