Overview, Targets, & Topics: This superb site offers some great birding and Nature viewing. Roughly 11 km of trails throughout = an excellent opportunity to observe many species of migrant landbird as well as observe both resident and migratory waterfowl. Warbler diversity is nearing its peak, Empidonax flycatchers such as Traill’s (Willow/Alder), Least, Yellow-bellied are all possible, as are Catharus thrushes: Swainson’s, Hermit, and Veery. Given the southerly location of this site, both northern and southern avifauna are present, both as migrants and residents. A great day of birding awaits. Here’s hoping for a cold front the night before this outing 🙂
