Overview, Targets, & Topics: Our first sparrow run of the year. We will be visiting a consistently productive sparrow area just outside of Ottawa: Burnt Lands Provincial Park. This year (2015) there is a notable density of sparrows present in the park. One can expect 7 species, all of which breed in the park. Two species which are locally uncommon in the Ottawa area, Grasshopper and Clay-colored, are our main targets. How many species of sparrow can we document in a single outing?
